GRAS Sound & Vibration offers a wide range of standard accessories in the form of cables, adapters, windscreens and tripods for use in measuring set-ups. These can be broadly split up under accessories for microphonesfor preamplifiers, for outdoor microphones, for pistonphones and pinna simulators and accessories for ear simulators. Some are included with certain products, some are available as extras. All can be ordered individually. The brief descriptions given here as well as those on downloadable accessories sheet will help you to select what you need for your particular set-up. The GRAS RA0052 is for use with GRAS couplers and artificial ears. It has an adjustable spring-loaded arm to exert a variable force on the test object.The design of RA0052 enables mounting of two additional springs, for high-tension setups. These two springs are delivered with the RA0052.

For previous versions of RA0052, designed for two springs only, the GRAS RA0196 High-tension kit is available. This kit, including four springs, is offered for replacement of the top of RA0052.




















GRAS RA0058 1/2'' to 1'' Microphone AdapterGRAS RA0058 1/2'' to 1'' Microphone Adapter


The GRAS RA0058 is a dimension adapter which increases the diameter of a 1/2" microphone to 1". The adapter is relevant for use with GRAS 45CA Hearing-protector test fixture or in other situations where a 1/2" microphone is to be mounted in a 1" inner diameter hole/cylinder.The adapter has an outer thread (23.11-60 UNS-2) for a 1" protection grid.GRAS RA0157 and an inner thread (12.70-60 UNS-2) for the 1/2" microphone (remove the grid).

Note 1: This product is not for GRAS RA0113 IEC 60126 2cc Coupler for 1'' mic. (use RA0116 instead).

The GRAS RA0172 Pinna holder kit is used for GRAS 45CA Hearing-Protector Test Fixture when configured with IEC 60318-4 Ear Simulator and KEMAR pinna. Needed for mounting GRAS KB0070 - KB0073 KEMAR Pinnae for GRAS 45CA. The kit contains items for one pinna.








GRAS RA0176 1/2" to 1" Adapter for RA0039



The GRAS RA0176 adapts 1/2" preamplifier to the IEC 60318 Coupler. Designed for use with RA0039 in GRAS 45CA.

Typical use

IEC 60318 Coupler RA0039 in the Hearing-protector Test Fixture Type 45CA(IEC 60318 Coupler RA0039 in Telephone Test Head Type 45AA – but difficult to calibrate. Use Type 43 AD instead).

GRAS RA0196 Retrofit High-tension Spring Kit for RA0052


This kit is an option for previous versions (before summer 2014) of RA0052 Artificial Ear Test Jig. In the previous version of RA0052 the arm is designed for two springs only.
If you wish to double the spring force of the previous version of RA0052 then order the kit RA0196. This kit, including four springs, is offered for replacement of the top of RA0052.

Design

The kit contains Ear Holder Plates made of plastic and Plastic Ear Canal Extensions. These parts replace the corresponding parts of metal and do do not interfere with RF signals.

RA4800 is a field verification adapter for UTP, surface-mount, and flush-mount microphones.With this adapter, it is possible to perform quick and reliable verification without having to demount the microphone.The diameter of the adapter is wide enough to accommodate all GRAS fairings for UTP and surface-mount microphones.

RA4800The adapter fits sound calibrators and pistonphones fitted with 1" collar.A soft cushion similar to those found on circumaural headphones provides a closed cavity, four distance spacers (legs) make it easy to hold the calibrator stable during the verification. Also, they ensure that the volume stays the same during the verification and that the same volume can be achieved in future tests.
It is designed for verification at 250 Hz. The precision is within ± 0.3 dB.
